Assembly and Setup Guide

Assembly

Step 1

A: Assembly of threaded rods ("Tiges Filetées") M6-22 (Black) in the boards inserts.
B: Assembly of central silentblocs on pads bottom. (M6-12 screws)

Step 2

Place the pad bottoms on the boards and secure them by screwing the outer silentblocs on the threaded rods that extand.
(For the direction, under each pad pad bottom, an arrow point to the front)

Step 3 Snowmoto

Install the pad tops and secure them with M6-12 screws on the center silentblocks only.
Then add the M6-30 threaded rods on the exteriors.

Step 3 Snowscoot

Install the pad tops and secure them with the M6-12 screws on the center silentblocks at the front, then those exteriors at the back.
Next, add the M6-30 threaded rods on the front exteriors, and center on the rear.

Last Step

Put down and fix your machine with the M6 nuts, not forgetting to put back the "T" washers (snowmoto) or classic washers M6 (snowscoot).
These are usually your original washers because not supplied in the kits.

If you have Top Pads, they are placed between the pads and the frame at the rear.
To compensate for the extra height, it will be necessary to add the thickness of a 2mm washer on the front pads (same principle as the inclination of the boards, see next paragraph).

NB: The original snowmoto T washers may be too long by 2mm.
It is therefore necessary to cut/file them a little to use them. Otherwise, use
classic washers, but they offer less protection.

Setup

Boards tilting

To adjust the inclination of the boards, it is possible to add washers of 1-2 mm and 25 mm diameter minimum (30 mm max). They can be placed between the silentbloc and the pad.
So counting the top and bottom of the silentbloc there can be 2 washers and therefore 2-4 mm in height more.
Obviously, it is not only necessary on a silentbloc, but on all silentblocs of a pad, so that the whole pad is fixed homogeneously.
It would be possible to double the washers or thicker, and raise the extra height to 4-5 mm using M6-15 screws instead of the M6-12 in the kit.
Beyond 4-5 mm, there is probably something else to do than adding washers...
Pads 2 and 3 must be the same height. Or to be more precise, they must bring the edges of your front and back boards to the same height.
The objective is to have an optimal alignment of the two boards to limit friction and interference.

Tighten the Slientblocs

Silentblocs are anti-shock and anti-vibration parts. They do not require a high tightening torque and can be perfectly tightened by hand.
Once tight, they will probably not move for the season. However, we must not forget to check them regularly.
However, it is not always easy to shake them by hand, which is why we have developed a tool, currently under test, to facilitate handling.

Storage and maintenance

Especially never use acetone on the pads to clean them. They are made of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) and acetone is its solvent.
Opt for ISO (Isopropyl) alcohol instead.

For storage, choose preferably a location protected from UVs and high temperatures (+70°C).

If the color bleached over the seasons, it is especially due to UVs. It is possible to recover the original colors by heating the outer layer with a flame or strong heat. However, be careful not to let the heat in too much or the material will soften. A lighter flame works very well for this task.
